Littler Receives a Perfect Score in the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s Corporate Equality Index for Eighth Consecutive Year

(November 16, 2015) – Littler, the world’s largest employment and labor law practice representing management, earned a perfect score of 100 in the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s (HRC) Corporate Equality Index (CEI). The CEI is a national survey and report on corporate policies and practices related to LGBT workplace equality. Littler has earned top marks in the annual study for the eighth consecutive year.

Littler continues to be a champion for the LGBT community. Its leadership reflects the importance the firm places on diversity and inclusion. Last year, the firm elected openly gay chairwoman Lee Schreter to its Board of Directors and Littler has filed amicus briefs in two important Supreme Court cases, U.S. v. Windsor in 2013, and Obergefell v. Hodges earlier this year. Littler is also recognized as an industry thought leader on LGBT and transgender issues in the workplace and its Pride Affinity Group is focused on providing support, development and networking opportunities for LGBTA attorneys and professional staff. In addition to the standard criteria including equal employment opportunity policies, employee benefits, organizational LGBT competency, public engagement and responsible citizenship, the CEI included new criteria to encourage diversity worldwide.
