Littler Opens Albuquerque, New Mexico Office

San Francisco, CA/ September 29, 2009 -- Littler Mendelson, P.C. (Littler), the nation’s largest employment and labor law firm representing management, is proud to announce the opening of its newest office in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This latest addition expands the Firm’s presence to 48 offices nationwide and continues to strengthen Littler’s presence in the Southwest. Experienced Shareholder Jay Sumner will guide the direction and growth of the new office, working closely with Littler’s Phoenix office.

“We are excited to open our new Albuquerque office.  This step will expand our reach and ability to provide counsel to clients in the Southwest on their complex labor and employment issues,” said Marko Mrkonich, president and managing director of the Firm. “And we’re very pleased with Jay’s decision to take on this new role of developing Littler’s presence in New Mexico. His depth of knowledge and vast experience in handling the traditional labor needs of clients in various industries, and his focus on exceptional service will form a solid foundation for the growth of this office.”

Sumner focuses on traditional labor law, specializing in collective bargaining and handling representation matters for a wide variety of employers. His experience includes addressing positive employment and union-related issues, including collective bargaining, labor arbitrations and election campaigns. Sumner is a member of the Firm’s National Labor Relations Practice Group as well as the Health Care and Hospitality Practice Groups.
