Littler's Dale Deitchler is quoted extensively about the legal parameters of such methods and offers insight. Deitchler says "Specifically, the primary use for imbedded microchips at this stage is access and entry in high risk security environments, but there are less intrusive ways to accomplish the same goal, such as fingerprint or retina scans or even RFID badges or smart cards, such as those developed by the Department of Homeland Security."
