Vanessa B.K. Lee represents and counsels employers in a wide range of employment matters arising under federal and state law, including matters relating to:
- Disability accommodation
- Wrongful termination
- Federal, state and local leave laws including paid sick leave ordinances
- Wage and hour matters
Vanessa represents employers in state and federal courts and before administrative agencies such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the Washington State Human Rights Commission, the Washington State Department of Labor and Industries, the Seattle Office for Civil Rights and the Seattle Office of Labor Standards. Vanessa also advises and assists employers with developing, drafting and updating employee policies and handbooks.
Prior to joining Littler, Vanessa was an associate in the employment law group of a national full service law firm.
While in law school, Vanessa interned with the United States Department of Labor, Office of the Solicitor and the Supreme Court of Georgia Committee on Justice for Children. Vanessa also served as director-in-chief of the Emory Law Moot Court Society and president of the Tort and Insurance Law Society.
Prior to law school, Vanessa taught first and second grade special education with Teach For America in New York City.
