Simerdip (Simi) Khangura advises and represents employers including multinational corporations to local small businesses in a wide range of employment matters. She represents clients in various industries, including financial, retail, education, and transportation. Her practice includes advice and counsel and litigation. She handles matters involving:
- Unfair competition and trade secrets
- Disability accommodation and leave issues
- Wage and hour class actions
Simi also has a focus on trade secrets and unfair competition, including consulting with employers regarding arrival and departure of key employees and enforceability of restrictive covenants, as well as litigating unfair competition and trade secret disputes.
Simi has extensive experience with the entire litigation process, including having resolved claims through informal negotiations pre-lawsuit, to first chairing three jury trials. In addition to her trial work, Simi has represented her clients in numerous administrative courts, including the Workers’ Compensation Board, Office of Administrative Hearings, and the Division of Labor Standard and Enforcement.
Simi has committed over 10 years of her career to concentrating in employment issues. Prior to joining Littler, Simi worked for the California Office of the Attorney General in the employment section where she represented public employers in employment litigation. Prior to that, Simi was a plaintiff’s employment attorney. Having been on both sides of the fence, she brings a unique perspective to her practice, which allows her to be strategic and practical when advising her clients.
