Overview

Shabri Sharma Baliga has experience in a broad range of labor and employment matters. Shabri has represented employers in administrative proceedings and federal and state court litigation involving claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and wage and hour issues.

Beyond her litigation practice, Shabri has extensive experience in counseling clients on preventative measures such as antidiscrimination and nonharassment training, workplace investigations and wage and hour audits. She also has experience in reviewing and updating employee handbooks, employment agreements, offer letters, leave documentation, arbitration agreements, and separation agreements. Shabri has considerable background in counseling clients on New York State and New York City employment law questions and matters.

Prior to joining Littler, Shabri was a labor and employment associate for a global labor and employment law firm in New York, New York, where she litigated and counseled clients on New York State and New York City employment law matters. Prior to that, she was a law clerk at NBC Universal Media, LLC.

While attending law school, Shabri served as an articles editor on the Brooklyn Law Review. She worked as a legal intern at CBS Corporation and the United Nations. She additionally served as president of the South Asian Law Students Association at Brooklyn Law School and as treasurer for the Employment Law Clinic, Labor and Employment Law Association.
