Overview

Ruth Benson is a senior counsel at the Los Angeles office. She has participated in handling a wide range of employment discrimination and harassment matters, including claims based on:

  • Age
  • Race
  • Disability
  • Sex

Prior to her career as a lawyer, Ruth taught at Wesleyan University, served as director of equal opportunity at the University of Maine, and was also the technical advisor and consultant for the original "Paper Chase" television series.

After law school, Ruth joined the Center for Law in the Public Interest, worked as an associate business representative at a motion pictures industry union, and was district counsel for the largest telecommunications union in the world.
