Overview

Ricardo Alonso focuses his practice on labor and employment law, counseling clients in:

  • Negotiations
  • Drafting and interpreting collective bargaining agreements
  • Reorganizations
  • Mass layoff processes
  • Terminations

In addition to handling labor litigation matters and labor administrative procedures, he advises and represents clients in collective labor negotiations, union-related procedures and labor conflicts.

Ricardo also offers training on labor and employment matters and gives in-house seminars and training courses specifically related to negotiation techniques for employee termination. Ricardo is an instructor for Latin America in Cornell University's Negotiation Skills and Collective Negotiation Program, and he has taught courses in Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Mexico, Panama, and Venezuela. He is a graduate of Cornell University's Certificate Program on Conflict Resolution, Collective Negotiation and Negotiation Techniques (2014) and the Revalidation of Law Degree in Colombia (2013).
