Overview

Marlie Blaise represents and defends employers in all aspects of employment litigation and traditional labor law.

Marlie is licensed to practice in New York and New Jersey state and federal courts. With respect to litigation, she has extensive experience defending employers against various state and federal discrimination, harassment, and hostile work environment claims under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, The Family and Medical Leave Act, The New Jersey Law Against Discrimination, New York State Human Rights Law, and New York City Human Rights Law. Additionally, Marlie routinely handles administrative charges filed with state and federal agencies, including with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC).

With respect to traditional labor law, Marlie is experienced at representing matters for national clients, including:

  • Labor management relations training
  • Union organizing drives
  • National Labor Relations Board elections
  • National Labor Relations Board hearings
  • Unfair labor practice charges

Prior to joining Littler, Marlie primarily represented multiemployer benefit funds and pension plans in ERISA litigation in the United States Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. She also has experience representing individual plaintiffs in discrimination and wage and hour employment litigation matters. Marlie’s former experience as a plaintiff’s attorney provides her with insight into the strategic interests at play in all employment and labor law proceedings.
