Hannah Mahon focuses her practice in complex, strategically challenging employment tribunal litigation, most recently advising a long-running whistleblowing, sex discrimination, pregnancy and maternity discrimination, and victimisation claim which received significant press attention and has been successfully appealed to the Employment Appeal Tribunal. With a growing High Court practice, Hannah has also been involved in numerous high-value confidential information and restrictive covenant matters, most recently advising on a complex team move with a potential multi-million-pound liability.
She also has an abundance of experience in advising employers on the full range of employee relations issues with an increasing international focus, including reorganisations, employee exits and severance packages, and disciplinary and grievance matters. Hannah is particularly interested in gender pay and equal pay within the workplace and the wider issues of diversity and inclusion faced by employers.
Hannah heads up GQ|Littler’s legal technology practice and is building the firm’s reputation as an innovator and market leader in this arena. GQ|Littler has been shortlisted for the Legal Week Innovation Award for its new technology supported solutions for clients.
She also leads the London office’s knowhow and training capabilities, keeping clients and the team informed of legal developments, and is a co-founder of GQ|Littler’s Women’s Leadership Initiative. Hannah is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association (ELA) and Deputy Chair of ELA’s Training Committee. She is also a member of PEN, PSL Network and the Association of Women Solicitors.
