Overview

Hannah Fitzgerald has represented employers in disputes before state and federal courts, arbitrators, and administrative agencies on a wide variety of employment-related matters, including claims brought under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), state whistleblower statutes, and wage and hour claims.

In addition to defending employers in employment-related disputes, Hannah provides advice and counsel on various issues arising in the employment life cycle, such as hiring and training, leave and disability management, and layoffs and terminations. Hannah has also conducted workplace investigations. She also prepares key materials for employers, including employment agreements, restrictive covenants, handbooks and policies, and separation and severance agreements. 

Before entering private practice, Hannah clerked for the then-Chief Judge of the Northern District of West Virginia.
