Carly J. Zuba represents the interests of management in several areas of labor and employment law, including defending claims under:

  • Title VII of the Civil Rights Act
  • The Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA)
  • The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
  • The Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA)
  • The National Labor Relations Act (NLRA)
  • The Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA)

She has also represented management in defending against employee claims before administrative agencies, such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the Illinois Department of Human Rights (IDHR), and the Department of Labor (DOL).

Additionally, Carly advises clients on a wide array of day-to-day employment and labor, and human resources issues, including:

  • Employment contracts
  • Severance agreements
  • Employee handbooks
  • Personnel policies
  • Termination decisions
  • Union avoidance
  • Wage and hour issues
  • Workers' compensation
  • Unemployment insurance benefits

Prior to joining Littler, she worked as a labor and employment associate at a Midwest-based litigation law firm. In law school, she was the vice president of the moot court team and the director of the Evan A. Evans National Moot Court Competition. She also completed an externship at the U. S. District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin.
