Adonica N. Plummer is a trusted legal advisor to business owners, in-house counsel, and human resources professionals on workplace concerns, including leave and accommodations, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour, and reduction-in-force and other business restructuring and downsizing issues. In addition, Adonica maintains an active litigation practice, routinely defending clients in federal and state courts against discrimination, harassment, retaliation, ADA and FMLA claims in addition to class action wage and hour allegations. She also represents employers before administrative agencies such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Adonica’s goal is to help clients effectively manage employment-related risk while balancing business realities in an ever-changing legal landscape.
Most recently, Adonica has provided advice and counsel to businesses in addressing the complex employment law issues presented by the COVID-19 pandemic, including reductions-in-force, WARN and mini-WARN compliance issues, furloughs, employee personal safety concerns, and providing accommodations and emergency sick and family leave for employees.
Her practice also focuses on internal workplace investigations regarding discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and ethical and policy violations. She has experience in higher education investigations, involving complaints of sexual harassment, discrimination, retaliation and violation of internal policies.
Prior to working at Littler, Adonica was an associate attorney at a national firm, where she represented public and private sector employers in all aspects of employment litigation.
