Giovanna Moreno provides counseling in a broad array of labor and employment matters under federal and Puerto Rico employment laws. Her experience includes matters related to every stage of an employment life cycle, from recruiting, drafting of internal policies, wage and hour, employment leaves and noncompete/solicitation covenants, to employee terminations and extrajudicial settlement negotiations.

As a seasoned attorney, she also litigates discrimination, retaliation, contract breach, wrongful termination and wage and hour lawsuits before both the U.S. District Court for the District of Puerto Rico and Puerto Rico courts, as well as quasi-judicial administrative and arbitration forums.

Giovanna delivers seminars and offers practical advice, as needed, to minimize employers’ risks and exposure.

As part of her well-rounded career track, Giovanna has not only represented small and multinational employers, but she has also served as an adjunct professor for the University of Puerto Rico School of Law, where she also served as director of the Career Development Office.

During her last two years of law school, she clerked at one of Puerto Rico’s major law firms and served as one of the editors for the University of Puerto Rico Law Review.
