Offering a depth of knowledge, Valerie Wright enjoys advising clients on labor and employment matters. She has extensive experience in civil litigation, and has defended clients in claims regarding workplace harassment, discrimination, retaliation, whistleblowing, accommodations for employees with disabilities, and other topics.
Prior to joining Littler, Valerie was a partner at one of the largest Maine-based law firms, where she focused on commercial litigation, including employment litigation. In her time with Maine’s Office of the Attorney General, she spent several years in the Criminal Division prosecuting healthcare fraud and other crimes by healthcare providers. Valerie returned to civil litigation when she moved to the Office’s Litigation Division, where she focused her practice on defending the State of Maine in employment litigation and other matters involving alleged discrimination.
Valerie has conducted many training sessions on workplace harassment and accommodations for employees with disabilities.
