James Fielding litigates a variety of labor and employment matters. His experience includes drafting and enforcing noncompete agreements, defending employers against allegations of workplace discrimination, and representing employers in complex wage and hour matters. James has guided employers through wage and hour audits, both internal and audits initiated by the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL). He also has experience drafting workplace policies to ensure compliance with federal workplace requirements.
Prior to joining Littler, James was employed at a general practice firm. He has experience representing companies involved in business disputes, and has assisted companies with actions involving premises liability and commercial lease agreements.
While in law school, James interned for an administrative law judge at the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). This gave him an understanding of antidiscrimination laws and the enforcement procedures used in discrimination cases.
