Three Littler Attorneys Named to the National Black Lawyers Top Lists

(March 17, 2021) – Littler, the world’s largest employment and labor law practice representing management, is pleased to announce that Shareholder Theodora Lee (San Francisco) has been selected for the National Black Lawyers (NBL) “Top 100” for California. Additionally, associates Ashley Thomas (Houston) and Adama Wiltshire (Philadelphia) have been named to the NBL “Top 40 Under 40” for Texas and Pennsylvania, respectively.

“We congratulate Theo, Ashley and Adama on their individual recognitions,” said Erin Webber, managing director of Littler. “They are all three exceptional attorneys and we are proud of their many contributions to our firm and the legal profession as a whole, and I look forward to their continued successes.”

The NBL Top 100 celebrates legal excellence by promoting attorneys from each state or region as subject-matter authorities, developing a strong national network of top African American attorneys, and facilitating the exchange of timely information, enabling its members to maintain their status as leaders.

Theodora Lee is a skilled litigator with extensive courtroom experience in all state and federal courts in California and employment-related regulatory agencies. Her litigation successes include class actions involving disparate impact, unpaid commissions and expense reimbursement, employee status, overtime, meal and rest periods and exempt status under the California Labor Code and Fair Labor Standards Act. As a recognized subject matter authority, Lee has been published in numerous publications and is a sought-after speaker presenting on a wide variety of employment topics. She is also an elected member of the distinguished American Board of Trial Advocates.

Lee earned her J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law and her B.A. from Spelman College.

The NBL Top 40 Under 40 recognition celebrates 40 of the most talented Black attorneys from each state or region that have an outstanding reputation among peers, notable achievements, leadership and membership in other legal organizations, and rankings by leading national organizations.

Ashley Thomas is a trusted legal adviser to clients on workplace matters, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation and leave and accommodation issues. She helps clients stay current and compliant in an ever-changing legal landscape and maintains an active litigation practice routinely representing employers in a wide range of employment law matters. Thomas’ practice includes conducting internal workplace investigations regarding discrimination, harassment, retaliation and ethical and policy violations. In addition to being named an NBL Top 40 Under 40, she has been recognized by Best Lawyers on the “Ones to Watch” list and by Super Lawyers as a “Rising Star.”

Thomas earned her J.D. from American University, Washington College of Law and her B.A. from the University of Texas, Austin.

Adama Wiltshire advises employers in a broad range of labor and employment law matters arising under both state and federal law. She represents large corporations, nonprofits and small businesses in various aspects of traditional labor and complex employment litigation. This includes union representation campaigns, labor arbitrations, unfair labor practice charges, wage and hour claims under the Fair Labor Standards Act, and training clients on workplace violence, disability discrimination and other matters. In addition to her practice, Wiltshire served as the director of the National Bar Association’s Young Lawyer’s Division (NBA YLD) Pipeline Initiatives committee – which won the American Bar Association’s EMBRACING Diversity Challenge for its Pipeline Initiative program in 2020. She also received the NBA YLD Chairman’s Award last year.

Wiltshire earned her J.D. from Washington University School of Law and her B.A., with honors, from the University of Chicago.
