Littler Selects Edward Chyun As 2016 Fellow for Leadership Council on Legal Diversity Program

CLEVELAND (March 17, 2016) – Littler, the world’s largest employment and labor law practice representing management, has chosen Shareholder Edward “Eddie” Chyun to participate in the 2016 Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) Fellows program. Since its launch in 2011, the ambitious landmark program identifies high-potential attorneys from diverse backgrounds and sets them on paths to leadership within their organizations.

“Eddie is a rising star within our firm who has demonstrated outstanding leadership, hard work and exemplary client service, and we congratulate him on his appointment to the LCLD’s Fellows Program,” said Bradley Sherman, office managing shareholder of Littler’s Cleveland office.

Following his January elevation to shareholder and November appointment to co-chair of the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association’s Labor & Employment Committee, Chyun joins the largest ever class of LCLD Fellows, with 227 attorneys confirmed for the 2016 program. According to LCLD President Robert J. Grey, Jr., the LCLD Fellows Program offers participants “an extraordinarily rich year of relationship-building, in-person training, peer-group projects, and extensive contact with LCLD’s top leadership.”

Chyun’s sweeping legal experience spans across state and federal courts. Handling trials, appeals and arbitrations, he also advises clients on a broad range of issues, including wage and hour, discrimination and harassment, and unfair competition and trade secrets. As a litigator, Chyun regularly appears before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the National Labor Relations Board and state equivalent agencies.

Active in professional and community organizations, Chyun is involved in a number of bar associations, and is a founding member and treasurer of the Asian American Bar Association of Ohio. He also serves on the Ohio Supreme Court’s Language Services Committee.

“We are incredibly excited about the number of diverse attorneys who are joining the LCLD Fellows program and about the quality of these individuals as well,” said Brad Smith, Chair of the LCLD Board and President of Microsoft Corp, in an LCLD press release.

“There are now 1,027 Fellows in this ground-breaking program,” Smith continued. “And each one of them benefits tremendously from this career development initiative. At the same time, they strengthen the profession itself, bringing fresh, dynamic perspectives to their own organizations.”

Chyun earned his J.D. from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law and his B.A. from the University of Southern California.
