Littler’s Lori B. Alexander Named Office Managing Shareholder in New Haven, Connecticut

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (January 4, 2016) – Littler, the world’s largest employment and labor law practice representing management, has named Lori B. Alexander to office managing shareholder of its New Haven, Connecticut, office. Effective January 1, Alexander will succeed Chambers-ranked George E. O’Brien, Jr., who has headed the New Haven office since it opened in January 2007 and will continue to focus on his active practice.

“As one of the founding attorneys of the office, Lori is a natural fit to take the helm,” said Tom Bender and Jeremy Roth, Littler co-managing directors. “We appreciate George’s leadership and many contributions, and look forward to Lori’s leadership. She has a tremendous reputation in the local legal community and we are confident that she will continue to grow the firm’s presence in New Haven and throughout Connecticut.”

Alexander represents clients in state and federal courts on a broad range of matters. Her extensive experience covers areas such as discrimination and harassment; litigation and trials; ERISA and benefit plan litigation; hiring, performance management and termination; and class actions. Alexander’s clients represent a variety of industries, including retailers, banks, and telecommunications, insurance and manufacturing companies.

“I am honored to follow in George’s footsteps and look forward to building upon his many accomplishments,” noted Alexander. “It’s an exciting time for our office and my goal is to continue to work with our collective talent to maintain best-in-class legal services while enhancing our footprint in the region.”

In addition to being recognized annually by the Chambers USA guide as “America’s Leading Lawyers for Business,” Alexander is active in various professional and community organizations. She is the former president of the New Haven County Bar Association and is a member of the Connecticut Bar Foundation, Connecticut Bar Association and the American Bar Association.

Alexander earned her J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law, M.A. from New York University and B.S. from Dartmouth College.
