Josh Waltman represents and counsels employers in litigation and administrative matters, including:

  • Contingent workers, staffing firms, independent contractors, Master Service Providers, EORs, PEOs
  • The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
  • The Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA)
  • Discrimination, harassment, and retaliation
  • Wage and hour
  • Unfair competition, trade secrets, and restrictive covenants
  • Handbooks and policies
  • Manager training

Josh counsels employers from Fortune 500 companies to small businesses on best practices, risk mitigation, policies, compliance, and employee experience. Josh regularly partners with multiple stakeholders, including operations, HR, investigations, business leadership, finance, ethics, and compliance to guide employers through their labor and employment challenges. 

Josh is a core member of the Contingent Worker practice group. He regularly advises clients on leveraging contingent workforce solutions and conducts deep dive audits to assess and mitigate contingent workforce risk. He also drafts master service agreements and litigates contingent worker matters.

Josh volunteers with the Anti-Defamation League implementing anti-bullying programs in schools. He has also served as a Judge Pro Tem for the Maricopa County Superior Court.

Prior to joining Littler, he served as Court Counsel for Maricopa County Superior Court, the fourth largest trial court in the country, where he advised the Presiding Judge and Court Administrator. Josh clerked for Chief Judge Roslyn O. Silver at the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona and served on the Civil Rights-Civil Liberties Law Review at Harvard Law School.
