Ten years ago, Littler predicted that the 2000s would be "The Decade of the Class Action." In retrospect, the real revelation may have been our prediction of how many companies would face litigation and how causes of action would proliferate.

Ten years later, where are we headed? During this program, we will discuss the escalating wave of wage and hour class actions in New York, recent developments in wage and hour law that require many employers to examine and change their practices, as well as new enforcement initiatives at the federal and state levels. Some of Littler's most experienced class action litigators will share recommendations for preventative measures employers can take now to reduce the risk of liability. We will identify the industries likely to see sharp increases in class actions, review recent and pending cases that change the liability landscape, and examine tactics that have been added to plaintiffs' attorneys' playbooks.

Speakers will include experienced New York Littler shareholders, David Wirtz and Andrew Marks, and Littler shareholder Lee Schreter, a nationally recognized authority on wage and hour issues.
