In 2010, the EEOC received over 36,000 retaliation charges—more than any other type of charge, and over the past six years, a wave of federal and state statutes and court decisions have enhanced whistleblower protections. This session will explore the expansion of whistleblower claims, including the rights and remedies created by the newly enacted Dodd-Frank legislation.

We will provide concrete guidance and practical steps for minimizing liability risks and explore several issues involving retaliation currently dividing the courts. We will also examine hot topics such as third-party retaliation, retaliatory harassment and “unreasonable opposition.”

Program and lunch are complimentary. This is the third program in the Fall Employment Law Mini-Series presented by Litter's Tysons Corner Office.
