Fall Employment Law Mini-Series

Our luncheon mini-series is designed for in-house counsel and human resources executives. The programs will be held one day a month, and will cover topics of current interest, with substantial significance to a wide range of employers, both regional and national.

Employers, take notice: the National Labor Relations Board is at full strength and headed your way. There is a "new" regulator watching you online, or, more accurately, watching you watching your employees' online behavior. The NLRB has stepped to the forefront among regulatory agencies focusing on employers' social media policies and related disciplinary actions. Yes, non-union employers too. The NLRB is also reviewing settlement/separation agreements and employer policies regarding confidentiality in investigations, at-will status and employee use of the email system. At the same time, state and local legislatures have continued to expand employee privacy protections as well.
