On May 14, 2021, the U.S. House of Representatives passed the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act in a 315-101 vote. The bill provides important workplace protections for pregnant workers, while ensuring employers have flexibility and clarity on how to ensure pregnant employees remain in the workplace. If the bill passes, employers must revise and review their polices to ensure they are in compliance with the new law.
