Unsure of what to do when an employee requests a leave of absence? Frustrated with trying to manage intermittent and reduced-schedule FMLA leave? Afraid of making the wrong move when FMLA eligibility expires, but an employee still has a serious health condition? Worried about whether you can ever terminate an employee on a lengthy leave? If the answers to any of these questions is "yes", we encourage you to join us as we address real-life situations and provide you with the tools needed to effectively manage some of the most frustrating challenges of your workplace.

This important and timely program will highlight the most pressing compliance issues for employers under the FMLA and ADA. We will provide practical guidance for responding to employee requests for leave or accommodation, determining the eligibility of employees for particular leaves, handling multiple requests for extension of leave, effectively reinstating employees after leave, terminating employees when leave becomes indefinite, and understanding and avoiding liability.

The program will also include a review of the recently passed bill amending New York Labor Law section 193 to expand an employer's ability to make deductions from employee wages which will go into effect on November 16, 2012.
