This program is also being held in the morning on August 12, 2014.

This program is designed for in-house counsel and senior HR professionals.
The National Labor Relations Act protects the rights of the vast majority of employees in this country (both union and non-union) to engage in protected, concerted activity. The question is, do your supervisors – those individuals who work directly with your employees each day – understand what those rights are and where violations of the law may occur? With the recent expansive view of protected, concerted activity, employers need to know how the NLRB defines protected activity and where the legal landmines are. This program is for all employers, union and non-union, large and small. The program will review:
  • The legal language establishing employees’ rights
  • The NLRB’s current aggressive posture in pursuing these claims
  • The policies and practices most likely to get today’s employers in trouble
  • The mistakes that other employers have made that have created liability under the NLRA
  • How to educate your supervisors to avoid NLRB charges and litigation
