Littler Mendelson’s Class Action Summit is at the forefront of opposition to the rise of damaging class action lawsuits, which are affecting employers in every industry. This program will provide the most current and critical information, specifically focused on the recent Supreme Court decisions in Dukes and Concepcion, regarding class certification and arbitration. The Summit is sponsored by Littler’s Class Action Avoidance and Defense Practice Group.

Joining Littler shareholders, who are nationally recognized leaders in the strategic representation of employers in all aspects of class action litigation and defense, will be a team of distinguished panelists including Judge E. Richard Webber of the Eastern District Court of Missouri, Professors Arthur Miller, Gregory Mitchell, and Kevin Murphy, and the nationally-prominent mediator, Hunter Hughes.

The event will take place over the course of two days, kicking off with a welcome lunch at 12 noon on Monday, September 26th, followed by program sessions centering on the Dukes case. A reception and dinner will be held that evening, where guests will have the chance to network with peers, Littler attorneys, and guest speakers.

The following day, our focus will be on the Concepcion decision, and the uses and limitations of arbitration agreements as a means of precluding class action litigation. Throughout the Summit, guests will also have the opportunity to discuss specific issues and concerns that employers are facing.
