(Littler), the nation's largest employment and labor law firm representing management, is pleased to announce that Tammy McCutchen, a shareholder in the firm's Washington, D.C. office, has been named to The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) Small Business Legal Center's Advisory Board. McCutchen joins a distinguished group of seven new members.
The National Federation of Independent Business is the leading small business association representing small and independently-owned businesses. A nonprofit, nonpartisan organization founded in 1943, NFIB represents the views of its members in Washington and all 50 state capitals. The NFIB Small Business Legal Center relies on its Advisory Board, comprised of some of America's leading authorities on law, politics and government, to help guide the Center in choosing cases to pursue and turns to the board for recommendations on topics for legal advisory material for small business owners.

Currently, McCutchen is co-chair of Littler's Compliance Audit Services Practice Group, and focuses her practices in counseling management regarding compliance with federal and state wage and hour laws. She was the Administrator of the U.S. Department of Labor's Wage and Hour Division from 2001 to 2004, and was the primary architect of the 2004 revisions to the Part 541 FLSA "white collar" overtime exemption regulations. She also formerly served as Senior Counsel at The Hershey Company in Hershey , Pennsylvania. She received her J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law cum laude and B.A. from Western Illinois University summa cum laude.
