Littler’s Indianapolis Office Adds Seasoned Attorney Steven V. Shoup

INDIANAPOLIS, IN (January 28, 2015) – Littler, the world’s largest employment and labor law practice representing management, has added Steven V. Shoup as special counsel in the firm’s Indianapolis office. Formerly an of counsel in the Indianapolis office of Ogletree Deakins, Shoup brings with him extensive labor and employment experience.

“Steve has handled traditional labor matters in the Indianapolis market for decades,” said Indianapolis Office Managing Shareholder Alan L. McLaughlin. “His significant law experience makes him a perfect fit for our team, and we are excited to welcome him to the firm.”

Shoup represents a variety of large and small clients throughout the Midwest. His area of expertise includes collective bargaining, National Labor Relations Board matters, arbitration, strike management, injunctions, liability avoidance and civil rights litigation. He has extensive experience negotiating collective bargaining agreements with Teamsters, United Automobile Workers (UAW), Steelworkers, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) and other international unions throughout the U.S.

Active in a number of professional organizations, Shoup is a member of the Indiana Bar Association, Indianapolis Bar Association and the American Bar Association. He has also written and lectured on a variety of labor and employment issues.

Shoup received his J.D. from Indiana University, Indianapolis School of Law in 1974 and his B.S. from Indiana University in 1968.
