Littler Mendelson Attorney Elected to the Board of Governors of the National Bar Association

Dallas, TX/ August 28 , 2006 -- Frederick J. Barrow, an attorney in the Dallas office of Littler Mendelson, has been elected to the Board of Governors to the National Bar Association (NBA). The NBA is the nation's oldest and largest national association of predominately African-American lawyers and judges. With 84 affiliate chapters throughout the United States and affiliations in Canada, the United Kingdom, Africa and the Caribbean, the Association represents a professional network of over 24,000 lawyers, judges, educators and law students.

Mr. Barrow also has recently been elected to Vice-Chair of the African-American Lawyers Section of the State Bar of Texas. The AALS promotes the objectives of the State Bar of Texas as they relate to African-American attorneys, both in the profession and within the State Bar.

And finally, Mr. Barrow has accepted an invitation to join the prestigious Patrick E. Higginbotham American Inn of Court. The American Inns of Court focus on litigation and ethics in the legal profession.

Frederick J. Barrow focuses his practice at Littler Mendelson on counseling and assisting employers involved in labor and employment issues. He earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from the Southern University Law Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, in 2002, and his B.S. in Marketing from the Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge in 1991.
