(Littler), the nation's largest labor and employment law firm to exclusively represent the employer, is pleased to announce that Greg Keating, shareholder in the Firm's Boston office and co-chair of the National Health Care Practice Group, has been elected to the Advisory Board of the National Employment Law Institute (NELI). The Advisory Board is comprised of some of the most influential employment and labor attorneys in the country.
Founded in 1976, NELI is a non-profit educational organization that strives to effectively educate professionals who manage employment and labor issues. The organization conducts seminars, briefings and conferences as a means of providing continuing legal education for employment and labor attorneys and continuing professional education for human resource managers and other professionals in the field. Additionally, it provides related services, including in-house training, counseling, investigations, human resource audits, expert witness, consulting and testifying services, all of which meet the needs of the employment law and human resource professions. NELI also maintains an extensive library of employment-related publications.
Mr. Keating was elected to the Advisory Board due to his extensive experience in labor and employment law and his dedication to providing clients nationwide with legal services of the highest quality in the area of labor and employment. During the past five years, Keating has spoken on numerous topics at NELI seminars, including Retaliation and Whistle blowing, Managing the Contingent Workforce and The Americans with Disabilities Act. He has also worked closely with the NELI team to identify and speak on cutting edge topics such as employer wellness programs.

Keating has broad experience litigating employment disputes in federal and state courts nationally. He regularly litigates disputes over non-competition agreements and has achieved successful results in such matters at trial in a variety of courts nationwide. Keating also represents management in labor issues, which includes advising clients during union elections, representing clients during unfair labor practice proceedings before the National Labor Relations Board, obtaining injunctions for clients during employment and labor disputes and negotiating collective bargaining agreements.
Keating has authored many published works, including articles in USA Today, the Boston Globe, HR Advisor, Healthcare Financial Management and Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly. In 2005, he wrote a national treatise, entitled Retaliation and Whistleblowing: A Guide for Human Resources and Counsel. LEXIS published the second edition of the treatise in January, 2008.

Keating received his J.D. from Boston College School of Law, graduating cum laude, in 1993. He received his B.A. from Trinity College in 1987.
