We are one year into the pandemic, and the latest data shows that about 33% of the American workforce continues to work remotely (from home). Managing a distant workforce has always been a challenge – think of trying to manage and coach outside salespeople. As the number of employees working from home has increased dramatically, human resources (HR) needs to refine its approach to managing the workforce. In this one-hour webinar, Littler attorneys will discuss the many issues presented by remote work, including:

  • Onboarding
  • Setting up the home work station
    • Expense reimbursement
    • Wage and hour - clocking in and out, overtime, etc.
    • Workers' compensation
    • Safety
    • Moving to another place to work (a different state or country), and tax and wage localization issues relating to such moves
  • Training
  • Leaves of absence and ADA accommodations
  • Coaching and discipline
  • Termination

The panel will tackle these and other questions and provide practical guidance and suggestions for the HR professional managing a remote workforce.
