During this time of uncertainty, many companies are looking for alternatives to involuntary layoffs. A program that offers incentives to employees to voluntarily terminate employment has many advantages that employers should consider. These include programs that offer senior workers incentives to retire (Early Retirement Programs) or offer a more general group of employees incentives to resign in exchange for severance (Exit Incentive Programs).
