As Connecticut employers make plans to return to work, Littler’s New Haven office presents a three-part webinar series addressing key considerations for legal compliance and a smooth transition to the new normal.

Connecticut employers are barraged with new state and federal laws, local ordinances, agency guidelines, reopening rules, and executive orders. It’s hard to keep track of the new federal and Connecticut developments, while at the same time handling the day-to-day issues that arise related to COVID-19. This first part of Littler’s three-part series provides human resource professionals and in-house counsel with an overview of the following:

  • State and federal leave laws, including the new Families First Coronavirus Response Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and the Connecticut Paid Sick Leave Act
  • Key components of the CARES Act and how it may affect your business
  • The difference between furloughs and layoffs in Connecticut and key points for successful planning of both
  • The latest on unemployment benefits in Connecticut, including the state’s Shared Work Program

We will also preview issues to consider as you prepare your workforce for reopening, which will be discussed in further detail on the May 28 webinar.

Time: 8:30 - 9:30 a.m. ET

Upcoming Dates:

You must register for each program date individually. Login information will be provided the day prior.

This series has been specifically designed for general counsel, in-house attorneys, human resources, and employee relations professions and is not intended for law firm personnel.
