Most of us believe that we are ethical and unbiased. But the truth is that implicit bias dominates our everyday life. The implications of this reality for attracting and retaining a diverse and inclusive workforce are a concern for progressive business leaders everywhere.

This interactive, multimedia workshop facilitated by Littler Principal Cindy-Ann Thomas will raise participant awareness around implicit bias in everyday thinking and why its impact on business is so powerful. Attendees will hear examples of how implicit bias manifests itself and learn preliminary strategies to vigilantly practice conscious awareness behaviors that mitigate the impact on workplace interactions, systems, and practices.

A key objective of this session will be to link bias management to optimizing opportunities for mindful and rational business decisions, from hiring and promotion to allocating work and managing performance.
