This highly-engaging, practical roundtable discussion will be an interactive forum designed for hospitality industry employers, in-house counsel and human resources professionals.

Participants will be asked to collaborate and explore practical and out-of-the-box approaches to address these issues. In addition, participants will explore challenges they have faced, sharing ideas and strategies that have proven successful. Topics to be addressed include:

  • Navigating the DOL's proposed regulations on tip pools and dual jobs
  • Guest harassment and panic button laws: how employers are dealing with compliance
  • Tip ownership and tip pooling: who's in and who's out?
  • Meal and rest period requirements in the state of Florida
  • Employee leaves of absence and disability accommodation challenges
  • Impact of legal updates on immigrant workforce: Current compliance environment, managing commercial expectation with immigration realities, and current visa trends in numbers
