People are not born with managerial skills and employment law is not easily navigable. When front line managers do not have a good understanding of the major risk areas in employment law, the result can be catastrophic, especially for startups and small businesses. However, there are practical steps that managers can take when making employment decisions that minimize exposure greatly.
This training will provide frontline managers and those managers that deal with human resources issues in founder-led and start-up companies and/or small businesses with the tools that they need to make lawful managerial decisions. The speakers will provide a high-level overview of key employment law potholes that can disrupt or dismantle a business and we will offer best practices that managers should follow when managing employees that will not only minimize risk, but also will help to foster a healthy work environment for all employees within the organization.
