Beginning May 1, 2019, contractors who apply for or seek to renew their N.J. public works contractor registration will face a new and potentially game-changing requirement: mandatory participation in an apprenticeship program approved by the United States Department of Labor. Without it, a contractor will not be registered and will not be eligible to work on the vast majority of work subject to the N.J. Prevailing Wage Act.

This will be a plain English, high-impact program that will help your business prepare to continue doing public construction projects. The speakers have helped employers establish apprenticeship programs and navigate the requirements of the new law, and have counseled extensively on all areas of state and federal prevailing wage compliance. Attendees can expect to walk away from the program with a definitive understanding of what they must do to protect this aspect of their business.
