Littler and Mattos Filho invite you to a workshop on the new Brazilian Data protection Law (LGPD) and its impact on your human capital. The presenters will discuss:

  • The main practical aspects of the LGPD applicable to the relationship between companies and their human capital (i.e., employees, contractors, applicants, workers, interns, etc.)
  • Practical guidelines on how to implement a data protection compliance program based on the U.S. and EU experience
  • Impact on the monitoring, supervision, and control of your human capital and technology systems
  • Impact on the management of the recruitment process
  • How to reconcile data subject's rights such as access, portability, and elimination, and company's confidential information and trade secrets
  • The proper handling of sensitive data (e.g., health-related data)
  • What is a data security incident and how to respond
  • International transfer of personal data to countries not deemed to have adequate protections (e.g., United States) 
  • Sharing data within same corporate group and in the M&A context
  • Conflicting laws – Totalization Agreement between US and Brazil, eSocial, and beyond
