Mid-term congressional elections are less than four weeks away, with much speculation and uncertainty as to how these elections may shape the face of Congress. WPI will offer analysis and keen insight into what the election results may mean for employers: how will the course of labor and employment law be changed; and how can you help your company navigate these changes?

In this discussion we will examine the workplace policy agenda that may be pursued in 2019, and identify a variety of topics that may affect employers in the months and years to come.

Specific topics will include:

  • What do the election results mean for workforce policy
  • Where will the 116th Congress focus its attention in labor and employment policy
  • What Administration workforce priorities and initiatives can employers expect in the coming year

Littler’s WPI was created to be an effective resource for the employer community to engage in legislative and regulatory developments that impact their workplaces and business strategies. WPI harnesses the deep subject-matter knowledge of Littler – the nation’s largest employment and labor law firm devoted exclusively to representing management – to ensure that policymakers in Washington and around the country hear the voice of employers. WPI is engaged with Congress, the executive branch and the courts on the most critical employment, labor and benefits issues of the day, including the requirements of the ACA, the FLSA, the National Labor Relations Act, Title VII and ever-changing implementing regulations.
