This annual single-day event will cover the most significant labour and employment law developments and latest trends impacting the workplace. With the intention to keep your organization on the path of legal compliance, this conference has been specifically designed for the human resource professional and in-house general counsel. Presenters will discuss how to minimize and avoid risk, implement strategic and practical solutions, as well as enhance the workplace by strengthening your workforce. Topics will include:

  • Canadian employment and labour law: Trends for 2018
  • Mental illness in the workplace
  • The workplace of the future: The rise of robotics and what it means for employers
  • Transgender rights in the workplace

The conference keynote will feature Christie Blatchford, award-winning Canadian newspaper columnist, journalist and author. Known for her outspoken personality and willingness to take a stand on controversial issues, she will discuss her concerns about the anti-harassment #MeToo culture and the reputational damage experienced by men who are named by women who are often presumed to be telling the truth.
