Littler Attorneys Appointed to State Bar of Nevada’s Labor and Employment Law Board

LAS VEGAS (July 20, 2016) – Littler, the world’s largest employment and labor law practice representing management, is pleased to announce that three attorneys have been appointed to the State Bar of Nevada’s Labor and Employment Law Section’s executive board. Matthew Cecil has been named vice chair, Crystal Herrera as membership and communications chair and Amy Baker as journal committee chair.

The Labor and Employment Law Section focuses on improving the skills of labor and employment lawyers, developing educational programs and activities for Nevada Bar members and improving the labor and employment law landscape.

Cecil will serve as an ex-officio member of all standing committees and subcommittees as chair-elect and will become chairman and assume all responsibilities of the office for the next term. As a Littler attorney, he represents employers in collective bargaining and disputes before federal and state courts, as well as the National Labor Relations Board and other administrative agencies. Cecil received his J.D. from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, William S. Boyd School of Law and his B.S. from Brigham Young University. 

As membership and communications chair, Herrera will serve as the editor of the section’s newsletter and coordinate membership outreach and social events. In her practice at Littler, she advises the firm’s clients in all areas of labor and employment law. Herrera received her J.D. from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, William S. Boyd School of Law and her B.A. from the University of California, San Diego. 

Baker will serve as editor of the Nevada Practitioners’ Journal of Labor and Employment Law and preside over its advisory board. She represents Littler clients in a broad range of labor and employment matters and litigates cases in federal and state courts, as well as various administrative agencies. Baker received her J.D. from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, William S. Boyd School of Law and her B.S. from the University of North Dakota, summa cum laude
