Littler Shareholder Kelley Edwards Named Houston Office Managing Shareholder

HOUSTON (June 1, 2016) – Littler, the world’s largest employment and labor law practice representing management, has named Kelley Edwards to office managing shareholder of the firm’s Houston office. Effective June 1, Edwards succeeds Mark Jodon, who served in the role since 2013 and will continue to focus on his active practice he has cultivated over 18 years with Littler.

“We appreciate Mark’s many contributions to the firm and thank him for three solid years as Houston’s office managing shareholder,” said Tom Bender and Jeremy Roth, co-managing directors of Littler, in a joint statement. “We are confident Kelley’s leadership qualities and reputation in the legal community will build upon Mark’s successes and continue to elevate the Houston office’s position in the region and throughout Texas.”

Edwards was also appointed to co-chair of the firm’s Energy Industry Practice Group in April. Her practice focuses on multiple aspects of labor and employment law, from litigating in state and federal courts and before administrative agencies, to counseling employers on day-to-day workplace issues such as employment policies, wage and hour compliance, and leave management. In addition to her extensive experience advising oil and gas and energy services companies, Edwards works with a diverse range of industry sectors including healthcare, financial and banking, retail, and airline services and transportation.

Her professional activities and contributions extend beyond the firm and into the local community. She is an active member of the Greater Houston Partnership, the Houston Bar Association’s Litigation Section, the Houston Young Lawyers Association, and the State Bar of Texas’s Labor and Employment and Litigation Sections, and she is a Board Member for Houston-based nonprofit Writers in the Schools.

“I look forward to taking the helm of the Houston office,” said Edwards. “Our office has thrived under Mark’s leadership and I am excited to explore further opportunities to expand our strong presence in Houston and across the state, and to help the firm thrive on a global and national scale.”

Edwards earned her J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law and her B.S. from Rice University.
