Lead by Example

In collaboration with Littler’s Managing Director and Chief Inclusion, Equity & Diversity Officer, the Inclusion, Equity & Diversity Council (Inclusion Council) plays an important role in implementing the firm’s inclusion, equity and diversity objectives and coordinating the efforts of the firm’s affinity and employee resource groups. Established in 2003, the Inclusion Council makes strides each year toward developing our roster of talented attorneys while both sustaining and promoting a work environment in which anyone can thrive.

Goals

  • Promote inclusion, equity and diversity initiatives firmwide, resulting in employee awareness, participation and support.
  • Foster an environment that values inclusivity and promotes equal access to opportunities for professional growth and development.
  • Assist our clients in meeting their inclusion, equity and diversity business objectives.

Initiatives

Our commitment to being inclusive is an ongoing priority. Knowing that progress demands resources, we award billable hour credit for relevant activities and provide financial support for our attorneys and professional staff to participate in these initiatives.

Members of the Inclusion Council are involved with numerous firm initiatives, associations and community organizations, including:

  • Annual shareholder meetings
  • Office managing shareholder gatherings
  • Board of directors’ updates
  • Affinity and employee resource group gatherings
  • Recruiting job fairs
  • Counsel and association conferences
  • Local and national community-based nonprofit organizations
