HHS Issues Revised ERRP Application Form

checklist2.JPGThe U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has released an updated version of its Early Retiree Reinsurance Program (ERRP) application form. In addition, the agency has created a new “Dos and Don’ts” document for completing and submitting the revised application. The updated application, accompanying instructions, and “Dos and Don’ts” document can be found here.

Plan sponsors that have already submitted ERRP applications need not reapply. Those that have started their applications but have not yet sent it in may still use the earlier version if the application is postmarked by November 9, 2010. Users of the earlier application must use the instructions and follow the “Dos and Don’ts” that were issued on August 24 and August 9, 2010, respectively. Plan sponsors that submit applications after Tuesday, November 9, 2010 must use the most recent versions of the application, application instructions, and "Dos and Don'ts", all of which were posted on November 2, 2010.
