Littler’s Nashville Office Continues Strategic Growth

NASHVILLE, TN (June 6, 2013) – Littler Mendelson, P.C., the world’s largest employment and labor law firm representing management, continues to expand its presence in Nashville with the addition of its eighth lawyer.  The firm started with just two lawyers when it opened in 2011. In addition to adding talent to serve the firm’s growing Nashville client base, Littler’s attorneys continue to generate accolades in prominent legal industry rankings and regional media outlets, reinforcing its reputation as a leading labor and employment powerhouse.

“Nashville is a critical market for Littler as it is home to a number of major corporations who are being faced with increased labor and employment needs,” said Jennifer Robinson, office managing shareholder for Nashville. “We are laser-focused on providing our clients with high quality legal representation. Recruiting top-tier attorneys is part of our continued strategy to serve our clients and expand our presence throughout the region, nationally and globally.”

The latest arrival to join the Nashville office is Brian Clifford, an associate from Waller Lansden Dortch & Davis LLP. He follows the recent addition of Joycelyn Stevenson, who joined Littler as a shareholder in February. To accommodate the firm’s aggressive growth, the Nashville office moved earlier this year to new, expanded office space in the AT&T building at 333 Commerce Street, located in downtown Nashville.

The Nashville office provides legal counsel and services to a number of global companies from many of the nation’s leading industries, such as healthcare, retail, financial services, manufacturing and distribution. Littler’s clients include some of the most prominent and well-known companies in Middle Tennessee and in the Southeastern United States.

Littler was recently ranked by Chambers USA in Band 1 for the “Labor & Employment” category in Tennessee, which recognized the firm’s strong reputation for industrial labor matters and its depth of trial experience. In addition, Robinson was ranked individually in Band 2 in this same category for her expertise in heavyweight wage and hour class actions.  Robinson and Stevenson also have been named to the Nashville Business Journal’s 2013 “Best of the Bar” list, which recognizes Middle Tennessee's leading lawyers and corporate counsel, further reinforcing their reputation as high-caliber labor and employment attorneys.

“These are well-deserved honors for Jennifer and Joycelyn, who are highly regarded practitioners in Nashville’s legal and business communities,” said Thomas Bender, co-president and co-managing director for Littler. “Both shareholders are integrally involved in the growth of the Nashville office, which continues to thrive in one of the firm’s strategic regional markets,” added Jeremy Roth, co-president and co-managing director for Littler.
