Littler’s Anjanette Cabrera Elected as the Hispanic National Bar Association’s National Vice President - Membership

NEW YORK, NY (August 15, 2014) – Anjanette Cabrera, a shareholder in the New York City office of Littler, the world’s largest employment and labor law practice representing management, has been elected as the Hispanic National Bar Association’s (HNBA) National Vice President – Membership for the 2014–15 term.

“Anjie is an accomplished attorney and her experience and leadership qualities will serve the HNBA well. We congratulate her on this well-deserved appointment,” said Bruce R. Millman, New York office managing shareholder.

Candidates for the HNBA’s Executive Committee are identified by the organization’s Nominations Committee and the final appointments are determined via an election in which HNBA members cast votes. As the Vice President - Membership, Cabrera will be responsible for all membership matters and benefits, and will report to the President and the Board of Governors on the activities and initiatives relating to the membership and the office.

Cabrera is a skilled trial lawyer with significant experience representing Fortune 500 and other clients in various industries against claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation and denial of employee benefits before federal and state courts and administrative agencies in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Ohio. Prior to joining Littler, Cabrera practiced employment law at two Am Law 100 firms. Additionally, she has served as an assistant district attorney in Queens County, New York and a law clerk to the Hon. Shelby Highsmith in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida. Cabrera is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the New Jersey State Bar Association and was also the Deputy National Finance Director for the HNBA. She received her J.D. from Brooklyn Law School and her B.A. from Long Island University.
