The rankings are based on BTI’s in-depth research with more than 500 corporate counsel at Fortune 1000 and large companies delineating how corporate counsel define the absolute best client relationships.

Between March 11, 2013 and July 22, 2013, corporate counsel interviewees participated in in-depth surveys to share insights on legal spending, key issues they are facing and their relationships with law firms. BTI quantified and analyzed these interviews to determine which law firms have the strongest and most plentiful client relationships.
