Chambers USA ‘Women in Law Awards’ Names Littler Attorney Laura A. Lindner "Up & Coming Employment Lawyer of the Year"
MILWAUKEE, WI (February 10, 2012) – Laura Lindner, a shareholder in the Milwaukee office of Littler Mendelson, P.C. (Littler), the nation’s largest employment and labor law firm representing management, was recently named the 2012 “Up & Coming Employment Lawyer of the Year” by Chambers USA, the leading publisher of legal guides throughout the world. Lindner received the award at the ‘Women in Law Awards’ ceremony honoring outstanding female stars in the U.S. legal community. Winners were selected based on rankings from corporate counsel throughout the U.S.
“What makes this award especially noteworthy is that it is based on feedback from clients. We are extremely proud that Laura has been recognized for her exceptional legal talent and skill by America’s corporate counsel. This is a fantastic accomplishment and solidifies her standing as one of the leading labor and employment attorneys in the country,” said Jonathan O. Levine, managing shareholder of Littler’s Milwaukee office.
More than 200 distinguished guests attended the awards reception held at The Plaza Hotel in New York. The ceremony is the most comprehensive national awards event for women lawyers across the U.S. and is supported by America’s leading corporate counsel, who are the driving force for diversity in U.S. law firms.
A seasoned attorney with nearly 20 years of experience, Lindner represents employers in a wide range of labor and employment matters. She focuses her practice on employment and benefits litigation, including claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and unfair competition. Some of her notable litigation successes have included summary judgment decisions and favorable jury verdicts in the defense of Family and Medical Leave Act interference and retaliation claims, age and gender discrimination claims, including class action claims, and sexual harassment and related tort claims.
Lindner is an integral part of Littler’s growing Milwaukee office, which has developed a sophisticated practice specializing in all aspects of employment and labor matters. The firm’s Milwaukee attorneys regularly advise large Midwestern, U.S. and global organizations.
