Littler

Raven A. Winters works predominately with hospitals and manufacturers, offering advice, counseling and representation in a broad range of employment law matters, including Fair Labor Standards Act wage and hour issues and employment discrimination claims arising under Title VII, Section 1981, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, and the Americans with Disabilities Act. She regularly appears before:

  • Federal district courts
  • Federal appellate courts
  • The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission
  • The Illinois Human Rights Commission
  • The Illinois Department of Human Rights

While attending Vanderbilt University Law School, Raven served as Development Editor of the Vanderbilt Journal of Transnational Law, an Associate Justice for the Vanderbilt Moot Court Board, and a National Mock Trial specialist with the National Black Law Students' Association. Prior to joining Littler Mendelson, Raven served as a federal judicial law clerk to the Honorable Curtis L. Collier, Chief United States District Judge for the Eastern District of Tennessee. During her time as a law clerk for Judge Collier, Raven conducted legal research and drafted legal memoranda to prepare Judge Collier for trial and hearings with respect to both criminal and civil matters. Raven also drafted judicial opinions at the district and appellate court levels, among other duties. Since joining Littler Mendelson, Raven has been actively involved in national and local bar associations and served as a Board Member of the Cook County Bar Association Minority Job Fair Committee for two years.
